Michael records rarely performed
Dohnanyi concertos with the Royal Scottish National
Orchestra for NAXOS....
On August 20 and 21, Michael traveled to Glasgow, Scotland to record his first CD for the NAXOS label.  The Royal Scottish National Orchestra, conducted by JoAnn Falletta, accompanied Michael in Concertos No. 1 and 2 by Ernst von Dohnanyi.  Rarely performed, these virtuosic romantic works will be new entries in the NAXOS catalogue and are scheduled for release in 2008.  Future NAXOS projects for Michael include the label's first recording of John Corigliano's Violin Concerto  ("The Red Violin") in the 2008-9 season.
